About the Accommodation

This brand new 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property is situated in the gorgeous urbanizacion of Alcazaba Lagoon, boasting both sea and mountain views. Within the gated community you will find a number of great amenities such as a restaurant, beach style café, a handful of swimming pools dotted between the apartment blocks, and also the impressive ‘Alcazaba Lagoon’ – Europe’s largest man made lagoon. Using the FOUR wristbands included in your rental, you will be able to visit the lagoon as often as you like, and enjoy all of the watersports on offer there including paddleboarding, kayaking and pedalos, completely free of charge.

The property is modern and bright with silent air conditioning installed throughout to keep it cool even on the warmest days. As you enter the apartment, it is flooded with natural light from the huge glass doors at the rear which gives access to the spacious tiled terrace area which contains a large dining table and chairs, comfortable outdoor sofa set, and two sun loungers, allowing you to take advantage of outdoor living on the Costa del Sol.

Inside there is a large open plan area with newly fitted kitchen, fully equipped with utensils, crockery, coffee machine (Tassimo pods) and integrated Bosch appliances (fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher). A modern dining table for indoor meals, and a tastefully decorated living area with 55” Samsung smart TV and comfortable L shaped sofa which also converts to a double bed if required. A family bathroom is located within the hallway.

There are two good sized bedrooms including a master bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobes, ensuite bathroom and a large sliding door accessing the beautiful private terrace outside. The second bedroom contains two single beds, and a great amount of storage within the large built in wardrobes and chest of drawers.

High speed, unlimited wifi is available throughout the property, and a private parking space within the underground garage can be included if required.

Notes

Access to the lagoon is unlimited, however opening hours (10:00 to 20:00) apply. Failure to return the wristband passes following your stay will result in a charge to replace these.


Please note that the lagoon pool will be closed for winter between November and February each year, however the pool within sector 3 will remain open for swimming during this time. 

Neighbourhood

Within Alcazaba Lagoon, the apartment is perfectly placed for access to everything on offer, meaning that no car is required. The restaurant and lagoon are a short 5 minute walk (500 metres) from the apartment door.

Waste and recycling facilities can be found throughout the urbanizacion including on the street below the apartment.

Alcazaba Lagoon is situated only 8km (14 minute drive and roughly €14 in an Uber) from Estepona Port, where you can find numerous bars, restaurants and café´s to try during your stay. Estepona town´s whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets are lined with flowers (each street has its own colour scheme), and are perfect for exploring. During this time, you will find many boutique stores and tapas bars to stop at and try out. There’s also a rooftop bar with incredible views which can be enjoyed over a cocktail!

Located around 8km from Estepona Town, it is recommended that you hire a car during your stay if you wish to visit there regularly. Otherwise, the best option for transport is by taxi.

For travel into Estepona town, it is possible to call a local taxi to come and collect you, and Uber also operate in the area meaning you can use the app to book transport.

In Estepona you can also easily find taxi ranks throughout the town, making travel back to the property extremely simple. The most common taxi ranks are: Avenida de Espana (near to the underground parking entrance), Avenida Juan Carlos I (outside Banco Sabadell), at the roundabout beside Estepona Port and also behind Estepona Bus Station. The trip will cost around €15-€20 depending on the time of day and your start point.

When in town, you will find Estepona Bus Station, and from here it is possible to take busses along the coastline to destinations such as Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Malaga (including the airport) and La Linea (walking distance to Gibraltar Airport). Bus trips to both airports take around 1 hour and costs around €10 per person.
